Medical alert bracelets don’t have to be naff or boring! If you or a loved one needs to wear a medical alert bracelet, make sure it’s one you would proudly wear!
Our paracord medical alert bracelet is truly gorgeous, designed to catch the eye in striking teal.
Our medical alert bracelet comes with two expertly handcrafted sterling silver beads. One with your medical information and another either with the caduceus symbol (the internationally recognised symbol for medicine) or MEDICAL ALERT. The choice is yours! We present the silver beads on a teal paracord bracelet and add 3 copper rings for styling.
You can have 100 characters of medical information on your medical information bead - 4 lines with up to 25 characters (including spaces). We recommend your name, medical conditions, treatment considerations, allergies and at least one emergency contact number (ICE).
In an emergency, paramedics are trained to look for important information and we make sure your medical alert bracelet can be read quickly by deep engraving in a clear and modern font.
Presented in a gift box.
Our medical alert bracelets are not adjustable so please ensure you choose your correct size. A easy way to measure your wrist size is to use a soft tape measure made of cloth. If you are without a soft tape measure, a piece of string or strip of paper wrapped around your wrist and marked and measured with a ruler works just as well. We recommend to add a little room for comfort (1.5-3cm is about right, depending on whether you like a snug or looser fit).
Original U.S. made vegan-friendly nylon paracord consisting of a core of threads in a woven nylon jacket. Paracord is approximately 5mm thick.
Sterling silver beads. Medical information bead is 10mm wide. Caduceus / "MEDICAL ALERT" bead is 5mm or 10mm wide, depending on your preference.
Copper rings on either side of the silver beads.
The standard clasp is stainless steel with a magnetic closure that makes it easier to take the bracelet on and off with one hand. If you need a clasp without a magnet, for instance, if you have a heart pacemaker fitted, then you will want to order the twist clasp. However, without a magnet, it is more fiddly to put on single-handed.
What is paracord?
The word 'Paracord' comes from its use by American paratroopers during the Second World War. After a parachute landing the cord would be cut from the parachute and used for all kinds of applications. We use the original highest quality American paracord for our bracelets.
Silver and other metals are prone to tarnish, this oxidising process is a natural occurrence but some substances in our daily lives will speed the process up. Soap, hairspray, perfume, food, latex, perspiration and even the natural oils on our hands can tarnish metals more quickly.
We recommend that you use a good quality jeweller's cloth regularly as part of your jewellery cleaning routine. You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming as metals can react with shampoo, chemicals and chlorine. Never allow bracelet straps to get wet, the cord will stay damp inside and deteriorate from within, and this will loosen the bond within the clasp.
As with all jewellery, straps, links and clasps can be opened, damaged or broken if not treated with care. Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty or damaged. Your jewellery is fully guaranteed for 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials - although this does not cover accidental damage, misuse or wear and tear. This does not affect your statutory rights.
