Our best-selling leather bracelet is now also available as a Medical ID Bracelet, also known as a 'Medic Alert' or 'Life Saver'.
Medical emergencies can happen at anytime and anywhere, and you may not be with people who know you. A Medic Alert bracelet can be a vital source of information for first response and paramedics if you are unable to communicate, allowing them to treat your situation quickly and effectively.
We can engrave up to 5 lines of text, allowing full details to be available to caregivers and first responders.
Please indicate new lines with //.
You will see that the writing is clear but it is also very discreet, so, as it won't be be easily read by casual on-lookers, you can have the exact wording you need. The more words you choose, the smaller the writing will be, but it will always be readable.
There is space for your name, medical conditions, food or drug allergies, and emergency contact details. The internationally recognised symbol for Medic Alerts, The Rod of Asclepius - which is associated with healing and medicine in Greek Mythology - is clearly engraved on the bracelet.
We recommend that you consult your GP to establish what they feel is important to include on the Medic Alert.
Available in Blood Red or Black.
Leather is either 2 bands of Braided Bolo Leather or 2 bands of Nappa Leather.
Can be made to any size to fit perfectly, it is not adjustable.
The engravable part of the clasp measures 2.0cm x 1.0cm.
The leather is 5mm diameter, there are two strands.
The bracelets are made to order, so please ensure you order the correct size. The bracelet is not adjustable. Please measure your wristbone and add a little for comfort (1.5-2cm is about right, depending on whether you like a snug or looser fit). You can use a piece of string or strip of paper to wrap around your wrist, and then measure that string with a ruler, or use a cloth tape measure.
High quality fine Bolo or Nappa leather.
Stainless steel clasp.
Silver and other metals are prone to tarnish, this oxidising process is a natural occurrence but some substances in our daily lives will speed the process up. Soap, hairspray, perfume, food, latex, perspiration and even the natural oils on our hands can tarnish metals more quickly.
We recommend that you use a good quality jeweller's cloth regularly as part of your jewellery cleaning routine. You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming as metals can react with shampoo, chemicals and chlorine.
Never allow leather to get wet. Wet leather will stay damp inside and deteriorate from within, this will loosen the bond within the clasp and affect the strength and look of the leather.
As with all jewellery, straps, links and clasps can be opened, damaged or broken if not treated with care. Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty or damaged. Your jewellery is fully guaranteed for 6 months against faulty workmanship or materials - although this does not cover accidental damage, misuse or wear and tear.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
